Joyce Grattoni AIFD, CFD is an accomplished floral designer and presenter who has been actively involved in the floral industry for more than twenty five years. Her genuine passion for flowers and floral design grew out of a desire to find an outlet for her creative energy.
She is professionally trained in horticulture and floral design, having received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Horticulture. She then honed her teaching skills and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from National-Louis University. She is a distinguished, longstanding member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), and received her professional accreditation in 1998.
As a former college professor, Joyce is well versed in all the latest trends and techniques in the floral industry. She always employs the latest care and handling techniques with her flowers, which is evidenced by the long lasting qualities of her designs. Joyce is a published author and has designed at the White House Flower Shop. She is the 2017 winner of Florist Review's Picture Perfect Wedding Contest for best wearable flowers.
In 1990, Joyce established Flowers by Grattoni which specializes in customized, fresh floral arrangements for weddings, special events, private parties, corporate and home décor. Joyce takes pride in her client service orientation and provides brides and other clients with personalized attention and an unmatched eye for colors, textures, and detail in order to create gorgeous wedding work and event flowers. Every wedding is a unique event and is given her personal attention.
Most special events begin with a complimentary consultation either in her studio or on site. There she discusses creative solutions for the design needs and provides a detailed estimate to the client.
